these shoes weren't made for walkin'

Definitely my favorite project for this class all semester. I had to recreate a pair of my Dexter boat shoes by only using masking tape. Once again, this project sounded fairly easy and once again, I was proven wrong. I first made a paper replica and then started the masking tape part. I tried to examine each part of the shoe and break it down as to how it would have been built in the factory. I started with the sole and worked my way up. I used the x-acto knife for the details like the stitching, string holes, and the brand of the shoe, Dexter, etched on the bottom and inside of the shoe. I could even put them on my feet and walk around. The shoe fit!

cut myself.
all bandaged up.

which one is real? ha!
